The Georgetown Choral Society will be performing Handel’s famous “Messiah” on Saturday December 2, 2017 at the Georgetown Christian Reformed Church.
The theme of the choir’s Spring of 2018 concert on Saturday, May 5th, will be a retrospective of glorious past coronation anthems in honor of the 65th anniversary of the coronation of HRH Queen Elizabeth II.
The Georgetown Choral Society has delighted audiences with their choral music since 1971.
Currently under the direction of Acting Artistic Director Christopher Dawes, the Choir has approximately 100 members, and performs at a level normally associated with professional groups.
The choir performs a mixed genre of musical works and has performed at such locations as Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto and the Mississauga Arts Centre.
It has also performed in Holland, England and Ireland.
We perform two major concerts per year, and also perform in benefit concerts.
Small groups from the choir are also available to perform at various community events, such as caroling at Christmas time.
