Browse the shops in downtown Georgetown including The Way We Were, Dini & CO and Moxxi Boutique.
Warm up with a slice at Goodfella’s Wood Oven Pizza on Main St. in Georgetown. Goodfella’s offers Neapolitan wood oven pizza made with Italian mozzarella cheese and rising crust.
After you finish devouring that fantastic pizza, browse through the Downtown Georgetown Holiday Market located on the corner of Church and Main St. to support local vendors that work diligently year-round to create unique gifts for the holiday season. The Holiday Market runs 4 Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. from November 20 to December 11.
To complete the perfect holiday Saturday stop into Whimsy Street Treats’ to grab a hot beverage. Whimsy’s specializes in luxury hot cocoas.
If you are visiting Georgetown after December 1st, take your hot cocoa and family and friends for a stroll through the “Light Up the Hills” annual winter lightning festival. From December 1 to January 3rd from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. every day. If you are travelling around Halton Hills, there are two other parks: Shelagh Law Parkette in Glen Williams and Acton Sports Park in Acton, with light displays. Experience Light Up the Hills free of charge and without the hassle of making reservations; just show up and enjoy!
If you are looking for an extra beautiful snowy Christmas photo, take a short drive to the Union Presbyterian Church. “Let it Snow”, a Christmas themed romantic-comedy on Netflix filmed scenic Christmas shots at this very church.
