Nothing says fall quite like a day spent picking pumpkins and apples straight from the source. Whether you are a seasoned pro or a first-time picker, this autumn activity is the perfect way to embrace the season's bounty. From finding the plumpest pumpkins to selecting the juiciest apples, picking fall produce is a quintessential autumn activity. Here in Halton Hills, we have some amazing farms you can head to where you can pick apples for some fall baking or if you are feeling adventurous head to one of our pick-your-own farms to select the best pumpkins you can find!  

Allison’s Farm Market  

If you are looking for some delicious corn for the harvest season, look no further than Allison’s Farm Market. Allison’s Farm Market specializes in sweet corn and pumpkins. Grab some pumpkins to carve and decorate with friends and some fresh produce for a delicious farm to table harvest dinner. If you arelucky, you might even be able to grab some beautiful farm grown sunflowers for your fall decorations. Allison’s Farm Market will have pick your own pumpkins this fall at their new location 10784 15 Side Road.

Andrew’s Farm Market and Winery  

Andrew’s Farm Market and Winery has fall fun for the whole family! Andrew’s has everything from apples and pears to pumpkins that you can pick on the farm! They also have a large variety of corn that you can pick up from their on-site store. Looking for a picture-perfect photo opportunity? Check out the sunflower fields at Andrew’s, the sunflowers make the perfect fall photo backdrop. If you are looking for some unique wines, head to the winery for a tasting. Try some of their fall seasonal wines, perfect for celebrating the changing seasons.

Andrew’s Farm Market and Winery also hosts events for everyone. If you are looking for some fun fall events to attend, check out their Thanksgiving Vendor Market or their Spooks & Spells Vendor Market. The markets include amazing local vendors, food trucks and so much more!

Chudleigh’s Entertainment Farm  

Chudleigh’s Entertainment Farm first started as a place where families could pick their own apples. Since then, the farm has grown to include so many more activities (on top of apple picking of course). Stop by to see the farm animals, walk natural trails, and enjoy the play areas. At Chudleigh’s they grow over 18 varieties of apples that are available for pick-your-own. Whether you are looking for apples to eat as a delicious snack or apples to bake a pie with, Chudleigh’s will have what you need! Chudleigh’s will also have pumpkins ready to pick late in September, their pumpkins are grown at the farm in-between the rows of apple trees.

Wheelbarrow Orchards 

In the fall months, Wheelbarrow Orchards offer the opportunity for those to come pick their own apples right out of their trees. Enjoy apple picking, walking through corn and sunflowers and check out their market. Their market is fully stocked with ready picked apples, fresh baked goods, fresh pressed cider, locally sources preserve, Fraser’s Craft Cider and Harvest Goodies products. Take pictures with the sunflowers and make sure to grab some delicious baked goods before you head home!
